Why I built River®
That photo is me in Vietnam at the exact moment the idea for River® came to me. I don't have the traditional credentials. I didn't go to college, I've never worked in corporate. What I do have is a dream to build something that makes the world better.
I've lived through water scarcity myself — my hometown of Bogotá went through a “Day Zero” rationing event that lasted a year. Later, while backpacking across Asia, I kept seeing the same bathroom signs: “Please shorten your shower.”
With my background in music and years of working with audio gear, I realized sound could unlock it — we could “listen” to water, make the invisible visible, and empower people to change. River® was born from that dream in Vietnam. Not to make people feel guilty, but to make them conscious. Because the world can't save what it can't see.

No. River® never records or stores conversations. It only detects the frequency signature of water flow — nothing else. Your terrible singing, farts and privacy are fully protected.

Is River® waterproof?
Yes. River® is designed for bathrooms and built with a waterproof housing (targeting IP68 rating) to withstand steam, splashes, and everyday use.
Do I need Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for River® to work?

How long does the battery last?
